In May 2008 we distributed a total of 3700 fruit and agroforestry trees to the poor in the region surround Fundong, groups such as these Mboro ladies who received 10 fruit and agroforestry trees each to help feed their families and boost the fertility of their soils.

The Belo Carbon Offsetting Program urgently seeks a Program Supervisor to to assist in the administration and planning of the Program. He/she does not need have any formal qualifications however good computer litteracy is highly desirable as is autonomy and a strong desire to help the disadvantaged. General duties and responsibilities will include coordinating the actions of the progam, choosing then liasing with groups and individuals chosen to receive trees and overseeing the receipt of funds and distribution of trees.

Other volunteering positions:
We require someone to assist in teaching accountancy and record keeping, leadership skills, management, group dynamics, conflict management and gender equality.  Note that we work with a cross section of farmers and community groups in the region therefore volunteers will have a unique opportunity to explore the region moving from one group to the other training our various groups.

We ask for no participation fee however all volunteers are responsible for their living costs and transportation to, from and in Cameroon.
